Ok... so we are all guilty about using a filter from time to time:) myself included! but what if we experienced a treatment that would make us feel comfortable in our own skin? This blog is dedicated to a brand new treatment launch here at the Medished.. and it's all about Glycerol..read on!
Photodamage accounts for around 90% of external age associated cosmetic skin problems. As you know I'm always educating my patients on the effects and early signs of photoageing. I hope all my patients will understand the use of medical grade skincare to combat this!.. but we can now also use injectable skin revitalisers such as BELOTERO® Revive which is indicated to revitalise the signs of early onset photodamage.
SO WHY DO WE NEED A SKIN REVITALISER?
In this ever-evolving digital world, our standards of beauty have changed. There’s a focus on always looking immaculate, youthful and flawless by filtering and altering the pictures we post online. At the same time, our busy, and often stressful, everyday lives diminish the vibrancy of the skin, making it appear tired, dull and with pigmentation, causing it to prematurely age.
We all want to take care of our skin but don’t always make the time. While filters still reign strong, more and more people want a natural appearance, a way to boost their skin’s smoothness, firmness and hydration, so they look and feel their best off camera too.
The good news is, there's always something to help... here at the Medished. I will always advise this treatment alongside your medical grade skincare.
HOW IS BELOTERO REVIVE DIFFERENT TO PROFHILO?
I know many of my patients love Profhilo ( the purest form of hyaluronic acid) ... so how is this product different? Well here's for some science.. BELOTERO® Revive utilises BELOTERO®’s patented Cohesive Polydensified Matrix® technology, allowing for homogeneous dermal integration, and includes the addition of 17.5mg GLYCEROL.
Hyaluronic acid and Glycerol are both naturally occurring in our bodies. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most hydrating substances creating a lasting moisturising effect on the skin, as it promotes water absorption from the dermis to the epidermis – providing moisture from the inside out. Studies have shown glycerol to enhance the potency of hyaluronic acid by strengthening the hyaluronic acid matrix. In other words the two products combined are like Batman and Robin for your skin!
