What to expect during and after treatment
Lumecca Peak is a non-invasive treatment, meaning there's no need for surgery, incisions, or extensive downtime. During the procedure, you'll feel a sensation similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin, but most patients tolerate the treatment well. You can use makeup straight away to cover up any redness.
After treatment, your skin may be slightly red and sensitive, much like a mild sunburn, but this should resolve within 24-48 hours. In the days following the procedure, pigmented lesions may darken before flaking off or fading away naturally. You should begin to see noticeable improvements in your skin tone and texture within a week or two after treatment. It's important to protect your skin from the sun following treatment, as it will be more sensitive to UV rays. Applying a high-SPF sunscreen and avoiding direct sunlight can help maintain your results and prevent further skin damage.
