Baby Glow by Teoxane: Is It Really a New Treatment?

If you’ve been on Instagram or TikTok recently, you may have started seeing a lot of talk about Baby Glow by Teoxane. If you’re already a patient at The Medi-Shed, you might understandably be wondering: Is this a completely new skin booster? Have I had something similar before? And what exactly is Baby Glow? So, I thought it was worth clearing up some of the confusion.

The important thing to know is that Baby Glow uses Teoxane Redensity 1... a skin booster that we already know, trust and have offered as part of our treatment portfolio. What’s new is the Baby Glow name and treatment protocol.

Teoxane has developed and marketed a specific Baby Glow injection technique using Redensity 1, which is why you’re suddenly seeing the name everywhere so if you’ve been seeing Baby Glow all over the internet and wondering why we haven’t told you about this exciting “new” product – don’t worry. The product at the heart of it is something we’ve already been using:)) And, actually, I think that’s reassuring.

What is Baby Glow?

Baby Glow is a specific approach to treating the skin with Teoxane Redensity 1, using carefully selected treatment points to distribute the product and improve the way light reflects from the skin. Teoxane’s protocol uses eight selected facial injection points and is designed to give a quick, even improvement in radiance.

Redensity 1 itself contains non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, together with Teoxane’s Dermo-Restructuring Complex which a blend containing amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. It also contains lidocaine to make treatment more comfortable...ie not painful!! This isn’t a traditional dermal filler treatment.

We’re not trying to add volume or change the shape of your face. We’re treating the quality of the skin....improving hydration, smoothness and luminosity so that the skin catches the light beautifully. The best description I can give is that lovely, slightly airbrushed glow you get when the skin looks really healthy.

Why has Baby Glow suddenly appeared everywhere?

This is probably the most important part of this blog. Aesthetic medicine is constantly evolving, and sometimes an established product is given a new technique, protocol and marketing identity. That’s essentially what has happened here.

Redensity 1 isn’t new to us. Baby Glow is the new Teoxane protocol and branding around using Redensity 1 in a particular way.I wanted to explain that because I never want our patients to feel that they need to chase every “new” treatment they see on social media.

Sometimes something genuinely new and exciting comes along. At other times, the treatment trending on your Instagram feed involves a product we’ve actually been using successfully in clinic for some time and Baby Glow is a good example.

And that’s one of the reasons education is such an important part of what we do at The Medi-Shed. My job isn’t simply to offer whatever happens to be trending.... it’s to help you understand what a treatment actually is and whether it’s appropriate for your skin.

Why do I like Redensity 1 so much?

This product does something relatively simple, but does it very nicely... it improves skin quality. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains water, helping the skin feel more hydrated and supple. Redensity 1 combines non-crosslinked HA with Teoxane’s Dermo-Restructuring Complex, which is why I regard it as more than just an injectable moisturiser.

What we’re aiming for is skin that looks:

• fresher and more hydrated

• smoother and more luminous

• healthy rather than “done”

• naturally radiant, with that lovely light-reflecting glow

It’s particularly nice for somebody who says, “I don’t want to change anything about my face. I just want my skin to look better.”

And yes ... I’ve had Baby Glow myself!

I think this is worth mentioning because I can speak about the treatment from both sides of the needle. I’ve had Redensity 1/Baby Glow myself, and I’ve been really pleased with my skin. I’ve noticed that lovely glow and freshness we’re trying to achieve – but perhaps more tellingly, quite a few of my patients have commented on how good my skin looks:))

They haven’t asked whether I’ve had filler. They haven’t asked what I’ve “had done”They’ve commented on my skin, and for me, that’s the ideal result. I don’t want an injectable skin treatment to announce itself. I want people to think you look incredibly well without being able to work out why.

Baby Glow for men AND women

Another reason I’m particularly enthusiastic about Baby Glow is that this isn’t a treatment that belongs to one age group or one gender. Good skin is good skin.

Men increasingly come to see me wanting to look fresher and healthier without changing their facial features, and this is exactly the type of treatment that works beautifully in that context.

There’s no feminisation of the male face and we’re not trying to create artificial volume.

We’re simply improving the quality of the skin. Teoxane’s own educational material around the Baby Glow protocol specifically includes its application in both female and male patients.

Does Baby Glow hurt?

Very little. Obviously everybody has a different pain threshold and no responsible practitioner should promise that an injectable treatment is completely painless.

But the discomfort with Baby Glow is genuinely minimal. The treatment itself is quick, and Redensity 1 contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to improve comfort during injection.

It’s certainly not a treatment I think patients need to feel anxious about!!

How many Baby Glow treatments do I recommend?

In clinic, I generally advise a course of two sessions initially for many patients one month apart. Each syringe contains 3ml of product. Occasionally, depending on your age, skin quality and what we’re trying to achieve, I may recommend a third session.

The important thing is that we don’t treat protocols as rigid rules. I’ll look at your skin and decide what your skin actually needs.

Teoxane’s own Baby Glow clinical evaluation has looked at both two- and three-session protocols for different patient groups, so there is good reason for tailoring the course rather than treating everybody identically. After your initial course, we would then discuss maintenance treatments to sustain the improvement.

What about downtime?

This is another big advantage. Downtime is generally very minimal, although because this is an injectable treatment you can have some temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection sites.

Teoxane describes the Baby Glow approach as having minimal downtime and minimal pain, and preliminary real-world data presented in 2026 reported that the large majority of participants felt they required no downtime. Of course, individual experiences vary, and we’ll always discuss risks and expected recovery with you before treatment.

Don’t be confused by the new name

This is really the message I wanted to get across. If you’re suddenly seeing Baby Glow everywhere, you haven’t missed out on some secret new injectable. The treatment uses Redensity 1 – an established Teoxane skin booster that has already formed part of our treatment offering at The Medi-Shed.

What Teoxane has now introduced is the Baby Glow treatment technique and identity around it.....and I actually think it’s a great opportunity to talk about Redensity 1 again, because sometimes an excellent treatment can quietly sit in the background while newer, shinier names get all the attention.

For the right patient, it’s a treatment I really like..it's quick, very tolerable, suitable for men and women, has minimal downtime and gives a beautiful improvement in skin quality without changing the way you look.

I’ve had it myself, my patients have noticed my skin....and that’s probably the best way I can describe what Baby Glow does.

You don’t necessarily look treated. You just look like you’ve got really, really good skin.
